The Malvern School Officially Open For Business On Monday
Glen Mills, PA (PRWEB) February 01, 2014 -- The Malvern School, a private pre-school and early childhood education program in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, will officially open its doors to students in its Marlboro location on Monday, February 3. This will be the 22nd Malvern School in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and the most recent in the company’s expansion to the Central New Jersey market.
The new school, located on 130 South Main Street, Suite F, is equipped with a state-of-the-art security system, 8,000 square feet of space designed to stimulate a child’s creativity and imagination, and a staff of highly trained teachers with degrees in early childhood education. Known for among the best curricula in the industry, and for giving young children the tools for future success, the Malvern School consistently receives accolades from its most important audience—parents.
Some of the programs Malvern has available for Marlboro residents are: infant care, toddler, get-set, pre-kindergarten, after school and summer camp. Each age group is taught by teachers who are trained in specifically-developed curriculums designed for every stage of a child’s development. And, most Malvern programs are open for enrollment all year round.

Founded more than 15 years ago, the Malvern School is best known for hands-on, developmentally-appropriate programming for children ages six weeks to eight years old. Students who attend the school are taught by teachers who have degrees in early childhood education, with academic preparation taking place in a fun, nurturing environment. They are also the only private pre-school in the country that hosts “Mrs. Bush’s Story Time” programs throughout the school year. In a partnership with Former First Lady Barbara Bush, Malvern teachers created special literacy events where students listen to Mrs. Bush reading some of the best-loved children’s stories, then participate in interactive lessons designed to encourage children’s life-long learning. Waterfield added that all private pre-schools must meet certain educational standards, and parents need to know what they are and if their pre-school complies or exceeds those industry standards. “We consistently exceed all the industry standards for early childhood programs. Our professional organization, NAEYC, has awarded many of our schools with their highest rating for educational excellence,” Waterfield added.
Last year, the school partnered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Green Power Partnership. They purchased 2,600,000 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of green power annually. That is enough green power to meet 100 percent of the organization's electricity use, and they are also buying renewable energy certificates from Clean Currents. With this action, Malvern is making an environmentally-responsible choice to switch away from traditional sources of electricity generation and support cleaner renewable energy alternatives.
