The McGinness Insurance Agency Joins Hope Creek Charitable Foundation in Backpacks of Hope Charity Drive for Underprivileged Families
Kirkland, WA (PRWEB) June 26, 2017 -- The McGinness Insurance Agency, a Washington based firm that provides asset protection and financial consulting services to communities throughout the Puget Sound region, is launching a cooperative charity drive in conjunction with the Hope Creek Charitable Foundation to provide meaningful support to regional families facing food insecurity.
The Hope Creek Charitable Foundation’s Backpacks of Hope program works to provide children from Northshore, Everett, Snohomish and Edmonds School Districts who are from underprivileged families with backpacks stuffed with enough nutritious food to feed an average family of five. Plans are in place to expand the program by up to 40% in the coming school year.
“Many of the kids in our community are members of families facing severe financial hardship, and our goal is to make sure we help provide food for these families,” says Mike McGinness, founder and director of the McGinness Insurance Agency.
The McGinness team is creating exposure and gathering local support for the Backpacks of Hope program by connecting with local families, business owners, and policy makers in the Puget Sound region over email and social media channels.
