The Mechille Wilson Agency and the Southeast Texas Food Bank Announce Charity Initiative to Provide Food to Disadvantaged Schoolchildren

Recent statistics show that nearly 3,000 school-aged children in Jasper County are from homes that face consistent food insecurity challenges. The Southeast Texas Food Bank offers a Backpack program for these hungry students, providing them with a new backpack stuffed with nutritious food that they can take home over the weekend to supplement meals.
