The Medicine Man Pharmacy Announces Custom Packaging for Multiple Medications

The Medicine Man MedPax are designed to help consumers take their medications properly, avoiding side effects from improper usage. According to an article from the FDA, “Poor adherence can interfere with the ability to treat many diseases, leading to greater complications from the illness and a lower quality of life for patients.” In addition, the NIH Senior Health website states that recent reports show increased hospitalizations and visits to emergency rooms by older people due to improper use of prescription and over-the-counter medications, as well as illicit drugs.

The Medicine Man’s MedPax program will synchronize all refills, setting them up to be filled the same day each month, create each month’s box of strip medication packages and before the next order, the pharmacy will check on any medication changes and work with the doctor’s office and/or insurance, if needed.
With the MedPax packaging clearly marked with the date, day and time of day the medications are to be taken by the patient, the program should result in fewer trips to the pharmacy and a lot less time spent organizing medications each month.
