The Meera Kaul Foundation launches Gender Parity App to rank companies on basis of gender bias
San Francisco, California (PRWEB) January 21, 2015 -- The Meera Kaul Foundation launched the App to help women share gender related data in their workplaces. The App enables reporting of sexual harassment, gender bias, glass ceiling or women unfriendly policies in corporations around the world. Using this tool, women can make workplaces safer and friendlier for other women.
"I encourage women to download the app and use it to benefit themselves and other women. When the power shifts in the hands of women, employers and colleagues will have to conform. We are more than just a statistic," said Meera Kaul, the Founder of The Meera Kaul Foundation, a California Non-Profit.
For women in the workforce, the App enables an insight into whether a certain company has had a history of gender bias and has excluded women from leadership positions. If a company has incidents of sexual abuse or harassment of women employees including verbal harassment; the app enables you to report that data. The app also rates companies according to how swiftly they react to gender bias reports and whether their actions have mitigated such incidents to promote a gender friendly work culture.
