He was honored with first place and the United States First Congressional Art Award for his work which was displayed in the Cannon tunnel of the United States Capitol building in Washington, D.C. As an artist he has a keen eye for detail and has become widely recognized as a surgeon who can achieve desired outcome while maintaining a natural appearance.
Dr. L. Scott Ennis received his bachelor’s degree from Birmingham Southern College under a presidential honors scholarship and graduated from medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. where he was honored with both the “Best Intern” and “Outstanding Chief Resident” accolade. He was then recruited for a Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Virginia where he won the prestigious Raymond F Morgan Award for original research in Plastic Surgery.
