Also, new this year, the Business Journal is recognizing an Innovator of the Year. The inaugural honoree for this award is Steven Schussler, CEO of Schussler Creative Inc. Schussler has created lavish restaurant concepts from his Golden Valley warehouse since the 1990s. His Rainforest Cafe chain includes a location in Bloomington's Mall of America, while Disney World is the site for multiple Schussler creations, such as The Boathouse and Yak & Yeti.
A call for the Business Journal’s 2017 Eureka! Innovation awards nominations went out early this year, and the competition was tough.
