The Napa Valley Wine Library Association to Host the 51st Annual Wine Library Tasting

51st Annual Napa Valley Wine Library Wine Tasting:
On August 11th the annual tasting of the Napa Valley Wine Library Association will feature “Winemakers' Favorites.” The tasting will be held at the Silverado Resort & Spa in Napa and will feature nearly 80 wineries and 150 wines, chosen by their winemakers especially for this event and many will be poured by the winemakers themselves. Select wines include current and older releases, special lots, limited production, and library wines. There will be a great variety of wines, from both large and small wineries, providing an excellent portrait of winemaking in the Napa Valley. SEMINAR:
“Pairing Words and Wine” Winemaker’s Seminar:
The Napa Valley Wine Library will also host the seminar, “Pairing Words and Wine,” on Saturday, August 10th, from 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. at the former location of COPIA, located at 500 First Street in Downtown Napa. A panel discussion moderated by Chelsea Prince features the latest in winemaking techniques and approaches and the keys to their inspiration for five young winemakers from the Napa and Sonoma Valleys. A tasting of their wines with these winemakers concludes the morning.
The panelists are among those featured in Chelsea Prince’s new book “Rock and Vine: Next Generation Changemakers in America’s Wine Country” and include Angelina Mondavi of Dark Matter, Hundred Acre, One True Vine and a Napa Valley Wine Library Board Member; Danny Fay of Envolve Winery; Jordan Kivelstadt of Free Flow Wines & Kivelstadt Cellars; Tony Leonardini of the BNA Wine Group; and Maggie Pramuk of Robert Biale Vineyards and author of the introduction to Rock and Vine.
