The report also found that Florida policyholders filing catastrophic loss claims with public adjuster representation typically received higher settlements than those without public adjusters. In one example concerning hurricane damage, a 747% higher payout was recorded to Florida property owners who utilized a public adjuster in their claim. The OPPAGA is an office of the Legislature and provides data, evaluative research, and objective analyses to assist legislative budget and policy deliberations.
