The National Mitigation & Ecosystem Banking Conference Issues Announcement & Call for Presentations
(PRWEB) September 19, 2013 -- Entering its 17th year, the National Mitigation & Ecosystem Banking Conference is scheduled for Denver, CO, May 6-9, 2014, at the Hyatt Regency Downtown.
The 2014 Conference is seeking individual and cohesive panel presentations that offer timely and new information on mitigation banking, conservation, species, habitat banking or ecosystem banking and alternatives. Submissions should come from experienced regulators, mitigation and conservation bankers, customers/users of banks, investors, local, state, federal governments, environmental organizations, consultants, engineers, academia and others who have direct experience in the expanding mitigation, conservation and ecosystem banking industry. Deadline for submissions is October 1, 2013 and can be submitted online at http://www.mitigationbankingconference.com.
The National Mitigation & Ecosystem Banking Conference is the only national conference that brings together key players in this industry, offering quality educational sessions and training as well as important regulatory updates. Led by a diverse steering committee of regulators, bankers, users and environmental experts, the Conference has become “the” place to gain insights, explore new markets and learn from sessions and others involved in this industry.
“As a regulator, I was able to exchange ideas and experiences with other regulators as well as get to know the bankers better – thank you!” noted a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers district regulatory program manager.
Building on the success of this year’s Conference, they anticipate a record attendance in Denver, with the continued focus on educational content – offering both advanced and basic sessions -- as well as moderated exchanges that help connect bankers, regulators, users and others involved in this industry. Environmental bankers and consultants are saying “This is my only ‘must go’ meeting now” and “I was very impressed by the conference... I was impressed at the level of technical information presented and the general breadth of the conference. It went from being a 'maybe attend' to a 'definitely attend.’”
The Conference is supported by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Federal Highway Administration, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, NOAA's National Marine Fisheries Service, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service; the National Mitigation Banking Association; private companies Ecosystem Investment Partners, Environmental Banc & Exchange, LLC, Finger Rock Preserve, LLC, GreenVest, LLC, Marsh Resources, LLC, New Forests, Inc., Restoration Systems, LLC, Timbervest, LLC/Wildlands, Inc., Westervelt Ecological Services, The Wetlandsbank™ Group, Wright Contracting, LLC; and environmental organization The Conservation Fund.
