The New OptiGauge II® Has Arrived from Lumetrics
Rochester, NY (PRWEB) July 27, 2015 -- Lumetrics announces the release of its newly designed OptiGauge II. With controller independence, strengthened electronics, and lower price, the OptiGauge II is ideal for online and OEM applications. “The OptiGauge II was born of numerous discussions with our customers,” said Steve Kelly, VP of Sales. “They wanted the ability to quickly integrate the system into their production lines. With PC independence and USB connectivity, they are able to do that.”
The OptiGauge II has been able to take advantage of advances in electronics and manufacturing processes to provide a new lower price for the same advanced measurement technology. The OptiGauge II uses the same all fiber piezo stretchers that give the system its extreme reliability but with PC independence it gives customers the added advantage of easy integration into most any network and production line. With a measurement range of 12 microns to 16mm, the OptiGauge II fits the largest range of applications.
The OptiGauge II comes with new diamond connectors that eliminate most cases of signal degradation due to dirt on the fiber optic cables. With a simple adapter all existing probes and switches can be used with the new system.
The OptiGauge Control Center (OCC) software can now be loaded on a customer’s computer, or Lumetrics Controller. With the existing OCC Toolkit, customers can seamlessly integrate the OptiGauge II into any application or production process.
Lumetrics began shipping the new OptiGauge II to customers this summer. “We will continue to offer the traditional OptiGauge MLS for those customers who have qualified their process with that system,” said Kelly. We will be shipping the New OptiGauge II to new customers and those who want the PC independence.”
