The Next Step Academy Celebrates Autism Awareness Month with 2 Family-Friendly Fundraising Events
HOUSTON, TEXAS (PRWEB) April 14, 2017 -- In celebration of Autism Awareness Month, The Next Step Academy is offering two family-friendly fundraising events. The 1st Annual Crawfish Boil & Street Fair will be held in Stafford and the Wakeboarding for Autism Event will be held in Rosharon. The Next Step Academy is a non-profit, day treatment program that is specially designed to meet the educational needs of individuals with developmental delays, specifically individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, and relies heavily on donations and fundraising events.
The 1st Annual Crawfish Boil & Street Fair will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017, from 12:00 - 4:00 pm . The venue is the Lonestar Lobster Building at 4747 Techniplex Drive, Stafford, TX 77477. There will be crawfish plates, a concession stand for non-crawfish eaters, activities for the kids, and a street fair full of local vendors from homemade soaps to handmade woodwork. Crawfish Plates are available for purchase online until Wednesday, April 19th. People are invited to Stay & Play at the Crawfish Boil & Street Fair, or they can also Grab & Go to enjoy their crawfish at home. There will also be raffle tickets for sale and a spin-to-win prize wheel.
The Wakeboarding for Autism Event will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017, from 12:00 - 5:00 pm. This “Cable for a Cause” event is at Wake Nation Houston, located at 4411 County Road 418 Rosharon, TX 77583. Instructional Wakeboarding is available by registration only. (If you do not need instructions, simply pay regular admission price at the door.) These instructional spaces are restricted to children with Autism/Special Needs. The event will give children with autism/special needs a chance to experience wakeboarding for the first time with an instructor that understands their learning needs. Spectators can attend for free and cheer on all of the kids taking on a new challenge!
