The Next Steps Institute Offers Diverse Avenues for STEM Exploration
Denver, CO (PRWEB) July 12, 2013 -- STEM. It’s the latest four letter word taking over the nation, creating curiosity and some controversy. Whether you are a STEM veteran or are new to the field, the Next Steps Institute, coming to Charleston, SC, Sept. 30 – Oct 2, 2013, will help provide clarity to your professional application of STEM.
This year’s Institute, Next Steps for STEM Schools, focuses on the emergence of STEM Schools and provides participants with concrete STEM action steps along with dialog, analysis, and networking time with peers. Organized by pathways that take participants on an engaging journey into critical STEM learning arenas, the Institute offers a deep dive in how to enhance effectiveness in action and advocacy. NSI pathways are delivered by recognized STEM leaders and are guided by research and best practices from the classroom and other learning environments.
The 2013 pathways each address a critical STEM education issue in-depth. At the end of the pathway, participants will leave with a more clear understanding of critical issues as well as action steps designed to make a positive impact. This year's pathways include:

• STEM Education: Connecting the Experiences Before, During, and Afterschool

• STEM Workforce Development
The Next Steps Institute (NSI), powered by national non-profit Earth Force, is the premier professional development program for educational professionals that promotes hands-on, minds-on learning in STEM education.
