The NFEC’s Workplace Financial Education Program at Wake Technical Community College
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) December 24, 2013 -- The SunTrust Center for Financial Education at Wake Technical Community College hosted a workplace financial education event to empower staff members with retirement planning information. The National Financial Educators Council conducted the employee financial education event and taught from their curriculum – Road to Retirement Workshop.
Two events for the staff took place that were geared to help attendees create a personal plan for their retirement and help them understand sound financial principles. The retirement presentations were well received by the audience and post-surveys demonstrated the material made an impact.
The lead instructor for the classes was the NFEC’s Personal Finance Speakers Association member Steve Repak. Steve is a Certified Financial Planner™, Professional Speaker, Army veteran, and the author of Dollars & Uncommon Sense: Basic Training For Your Money. His work has been featured in Forbes, Investor’s Business Daily, BusinessWeek, New York Post, Chicago Tribune, MSN Money, Yahoo Finance & USA Today.
Members of the Personal Finance Speakers Association must graduate the NFECs’ Certified Financial Education Instructors course. This professional development course is approved for 4 hour of continuing education credits by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards and taught through major universities.
