The Original Round Top Antiques Fair Celebrates "50 Years of Fabulous" at the Fall Show, September 25 - 30, 2017
Round Top, Texas (PRWEB) September 07, 2017 -- This fall marks a key milestone for The Original Round Top Antiques Fair (ORTAF) as the landmark show celebrates its 50th anniversary. Starting Monday, September 25 and concluding Saturday, September 30, ORTAF will fete this "golden" occasion with various festivities, including customer promotions, special music and beverages, and fun cuisine. While customers engage in shopping and socializing experiences, there will be an accompanying festive air adding to the energy and excitement of the venue. ORTAF is the show that initiated what is known today as "Round Top," held spring and fall of each year. The Big Red Barn Event Center, home to ORTAF, is located at 475 Texas HWY 237 S, 78932; Highway 237 is almost halfway between Austin and Houston, just off Highway 290.
“This is very special and significant celebration for ORTAF,” said Susan Franks, owner, ORTAF. “From our dealers, some of whom have been with the show since the beginning, to our continually increasing number of customers who have embraced us, we are proud of ORTAF’s rich history and future.”
ORTAF roots originated in October 1968 when show promoter Emma Lee Turney launched the Round Top Antiques Fair at the Round Top Rifle Hall. In 2005, Susan Franks purchased from Turney what became The Original Round Top Antiques Fair. During the 12 years that Franks has owned the show, offerings expanded from early American country to include European antiques and an eclectic mix of authentic items that shoppers are unable to find elsewhere. ORTAF is situated in three venues on the same property:
the Big Red Barn; the Annex, and the Continental Tent.
“This show’s foundation was built on quality antiques and I remain true to those roots,” said Franks.

Monday, September 25 (9 AM - 6 PM)
Tuesday, September 26 (9 AM - 7 PM)
Wednesday, September 27 - Friday, September 29 (9 AM - 5 PM)
Saturday, September 30 (9 AM - 4 PM).
