The Performance Group (TPG) To Be A Sponsor At 6th Annual Notes & Words Benefit
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) March 17, 2015 -- Notes & Words’ motto “Have Fun, Do Good” is especially fitting for this year’s showcase of new and established talent. Budding star-power will include singer songwriter Kelly McFarling whose guitar skills and powerful voice make her one of the “ones to watch”. Joining the stage will be WJM, a middle school group whose impressive performances have included a gig at the United Nations. Having worked with VH1 Save the Music Foundation, these young lads are budding philanthropists who donate their proceeds to children’s charities.
The diverse writer scene will include San Francisco native Daniel Handler. Best known for his work under the pen name Lemony Snicket, Daniel is the author of A Series of Unfortunate Events and All the Wrong Questions. Also hitting the stage will be Children’s Hospital volunteer and Notes & Words co-founder Kelly Corrigan whose three memoirs about family life have all made The New York Times bestseller list.
Notes & Words will include other artists who’ll donate their time to celebrate the hospital’s ranking among the nation’s best. Event attendees will also receive a congratulatory toast for their continued support; to help raise a glass in the appropriate setting, TPG will sponsor a reception tent designed with Dalton Fine and his company, So Fine Event Design. Marked by free-form architectural elements and dramatic lighting, the tent’s contemporary lounge setting will offer guests an exciting place to network and enjoy pre-event light fare and cocktails. Once guests move into the theatre for the main event, TPG and So Fine Event Design will transform the space and create an after party vibe chill enough to be enjoyed well into the evening.
When asked why TPG wanted to participate in the event, VP of Sales and Marketing Jen Pointer explained, “We jumped at the chance to work with an organization that shares our values and allows us the opportunity to support such an important cause. As a corporate event planning agency, we understand the power of bringing people together to drive positive outcomes.” Kelly Corrigan further emphasized the importance of support and offered the following, "We are thrilled to have TPG on the Notes & Words team this year. These gals totally get what we're trying to do - create an unforgettable evening of appreciation for the most generous supporters of Children's Hospital. Together we are putting together the MUST ATTEND event in the East Bay this year. It's not to be missed."
