The Positive Controversy with Kristen Pope Brings Talk Format to Web Series
New York (PRWEB) April 29, 2014 -- What happens when you combine passion, purpose and an innovative go-getter? You get Kristen L. Pope— writer, philanthropist and controversial multimedia journalist. Following her celebrated run on ABC’s KTXS as their education and weekend reporter and fill-in anchor, Pope is unveiling her new web show The Positive Controversy with Kristen Pope (TPC), which goes live on April 29 through her website KristenLPope.com and YouTube.
The flagship production of her newly launched digital media company Pope Productions, TPC brings together uncommon and edgy voices to discuss some of America’s hottest and under-the-rug topics. In fact, if The Daily Show were multicultural and position to pace with the Snapchat/Instagram generation, it would be TPC.
Audacious, living on purpose and focused on doing the work, Pope is excited to give her audience a healthy dose of positive controversy in every episode. The debut episode features Brandice Henderson, founder and CEO of Harlem’s Fashion Row; Jessie Adore, designer and founder of Adore Daily; N’Keisha Marie, personal stylist and founder of The Ministry of Fashion and musical guest, Christian recording artist Ronald Julian who delivers a performance that will bring the most astute soul music lover to a new height.
“I want to give the web a jolt of fresh-flavored content,” Pope stated. “This show dives into touchy subjects. Through a variety of conversation we grow from the different viewpoints.”
From tackling the lack of diversity in fashion, to discussing women’s rights and mental health in the black community, TPC addresses civil needs through thought-provoking conversation.
