In his book, Rowland, now an owner of an equine boarding facility, shares his deep connection with animals and the serendipitous occurrences that have taken place in their presence since his initial cancer diagnosis, and the ultimate life lessons he learned from those experiences.
“Animals, especially horses, may just be a little more evolved than we have been led to believe,” Rowland said. “They are supreme communicators if only we learn their language.”
Rowland also highlights the importance of balancing holistic therapies and positivity with Western medicine in hopes that readers with similar diagnoses will also find the hope and contentment they need to fully live out the rest of their days.
“Don’t tend to the seeds of negativity that doctors may plant in your mind,” Rowland said. “You must dig those seeds up and plant your own and tend them lovingly.”
