The real way improving yourself improves society
MONTREAL (PRWEB) February 03, 2016 -- Throughout history, human society has seen politically powerful civilizations fall, while perceived weaker civilizations come into power. In his new book, “The Humanist Society,” author Joseph Sassoon explores the reason behind the rise and fall of such powerful societies.
In “The Humanist Society,” Sassoon emphasizes the right for every citizen of every nation to achieve self-actualization. Sassoon has studied the works of renowned thinkers such as Kurt Goldstein and Abraham Maslow, and formed his own social blueprint for achieving one’s highest potential. Using step-by-step social arrangements, “The Humanist Society” portrays the benefits society reaps when its citizens fulfill their talents.
“I have always been interested in human nature and human motivation,” said Sassoon. “Studying humanism has provided me with a better understanding on how society can effectively motivate its citizens.”
Joseph Sassoon was born and raised in Baghdad but descends from Jewish roots. Sassoon credits his Jewish roots with his interest in humanism, as he has long been fascinated by the way the Jewish community has survived for so long at the mercy of bigger and stronger communities.
“As an adolescent in Iraq I experienced despotism,” said Sassoon. “Avoiding that is my main aim in this book.”
Sassoon’s unique worldview will provide readers with insight on subjects such as despotism, assimilation and self-actualization.
