Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) October 22, 2013 -- The Refinery Leadership Partners announces the appointment of Terry Dillon as their incoming CEO. The company has seen considerable growth over the past five years, ranking 114th on Canada’s 2013 PROFIT 500 Fastest Growing Companies, and is continuing to drive its momentum and expansion into new markets and sectors. The Refinery is an international leadership development firm with a focus on a unique, fundamental offering: Total Leadership. The Refinery partners with clients to design and deliver highly-customized leadership development programs. The company has an excellent track record of bringing about actual behavioral change on a scale that significantly impacts organizations.
The appointment of an internal candidate as CEO is a reflection of The Refinery’s confidence in its internal talent and global practice. Mr. Dillon joined The Refinery in June 2010 as Client Lead, and recently became a Partner and Vice-President of Practice. Mr. Dillon brings over 20 years of experience in diverse leadership and management roles, including as a management consultant for Barclays Bank and as Portfolio Manager for Lane4 Management Group, where he worked for global clients such as Coca Cola, 3M and Nestle. Mr. Dillon is also an accomplished athlete, having twice represented Great Britain at the Olympic Games in the sport of rowing.
When asked about stepping into the new role, Mr. Dillon stated, “We are excited to build on what we have created and will continue to be committed to making a difference in the world of work.”
Mr. Dillon will replace Dr. Mark Frein who is joining Return Path, a software company headquartered in New York, as their Senior Vice-President of People. Return Path was recently ranked #4 in the 2013 Best Medium Workplaces in the US by the Great Places to Work Institute and Fortune Magazine. Dr. Frein joined The Refinery in May 2007 as Consulting Practice Leader, and subsequently held the position of Managing Director before becoming CEO, making a significant contribution to the international growth of the firm.
The company’s President and Chair, Barbara Ross-Denroche is enthusiastic about the future opportunities that await The Refinery, “We have a wonderful team that continues to grow in stature and we continue to create great stories in partnership with our clients.
