The School of Internet Marketing Instructor Gives Wrap-up of 2013 News
Jersey City, New Jersey (PRWEB) January 20, 2014 -- Jonathan Goodman, The School of Internet Marketing Instructor and president of Halyard Consulting, gave a wrap-up of news stories he covered in 2013 for his latest podcast. The top three stories that he discussed and provided updates on were Amazon's Prime Air announcement, the NSA, and Dread Pirate Roberts - The Silk Road Story.*
Goodman began by discussing the press release sent from Amazon the day before Cyber Monday. He called it a brilliant move on the part of Amazon to draw attention to the company before the biggest online shopping day of the year. He also acknowledged that the company is adept at gaining attention.
The next topic covered was the NSA and how an article from Propublica.org told that the government also spied on gamers and created online identities for World of Warcraft and Second Life.* The purpose for the online identities was to communicate with people who were labelled as suspicious. It has also been revealed according to an article from The Washington Post* that the government uses cookies to monitor people the same way advertisers do.
"The things I try to talk about on this show aren't necessarily talked about on the mainstream media." – Jonathan Goodman
The third news topic was on Silk Road and the Dread Pirate Roberts case where a new Dread Pirate Roberts was trained by the first one and has re-opened the site with improved security.*
