The Secret Society of Happy People Provides Activities for Finding Happiness in the New Year
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) January 08, 2014 -- The Secret Society of Happy People provides its members with inspiration for finding happiness during the 13th Annual Hunt for Happiness Week that starts on Sunday, January 19 and runs through January 26.
Some of the largest media organizations around the globe declared January 6 as the saddest day of the year. The headline in the U.K.'s The Guardian newspaper read "Blue Monday: There is no such thing as ‘the most depressing day of the year’", while The Weather Channel declared "It's Blue Monday — and the Weather's Making It Worse."
"There are several dates that people attribute to be the saddest or most depressing day of the year. Some say it's the first Monday in the New Year, while others say Blue Monday is January 20. The reality is that there is no real scientific evidence that pinpoints a date, but anecdotal evidence does seem to indicate that people were on a high during the holidays because of time off work and socializing with friends and family. And the reality is that the next big day off for most Americans isn't until Memorial Day weekend in May," says Pamela Gail Johnson, Founder of the Secret Society of Happy People.

Sometimes after all the excitement from the holidays January can feel blah. And this year, it seems colder than normal to kick off the year, so it makes people feel confined," says Johnson.
