The Sixth Annual Human Factors and Safety Management Systems Seminar Announces This Year's List of Distinguished Speakers for the June Event
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) April 30, 2014 -- The Sixth Annual Human Factors and Safety Management Systems Seminar announces the list of distinguished speakers for their June event.
2014 edition of the Human Factors and Safety Management System Seminar will be held on June 24th and 25th at the Frontiers of Flight Museum, located adjacent to Love Field in Dallas Texas. Hosts for this year’s event are the International Society of Safety Professionals (ISSP) and the Robinson Safety Institute.
Mr. D Smith announced the list of distinguished speakers for the Sixth Annual Human Factors and Safety Management Systems Seminar. He is the Founder and President of the International Society of Safety Professionals (ISSP), one of this year’s host organizations for the seminar which is held annually. When quarried about this year’s event Mr. Smith stated, “Our main focus is to provide our attendees with useful information that they can take back to their organization and make positive changes in the way they manage the risks they face every day”. “We are honored and privileged to announce that we have a very distinguished group of speakers for the seminar again this year he quipped.”
Opening on the first day is Dr. Tony Kern, CEO of Convergent Performance, speaking on "How to gain SMS buy-in from the entire organization". Other presenters on Tuesday include; Mitch Launius: “Treat and error management made meaningful”, Bruce Brandon: “Legal aspects of aviation safety”, Kendra St Charles: “The aftermath and why your organization needs to prepare for it”, Dr. Michelle Harper: “Leveraging data to sustain and advance your SMS”, and David Downey: “Flight deck automation human factors”.
Leading off the second day of the seminar will be Paul Morel, Sr. Vice President of American Airlines: “How safety efforts contribute to company success”. Also contributing in this session; Brenda Tillman: “Critical incident stress management”, Dr. Gary Kenny: The evolution of SMS, maybe it’s time for a revolution”, Dennis Taboada: “Taking an SMS to the predictive level”, Kevin Zementis: “Leading change by creating and executing a balanced score card” and Mike Glasgow: Human factors and SMS research insights”.
