The Skywalking Heads Production Team to Collaborate with Akiva School and the Nashville Community on a Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) Community Event
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) February 25, 2015 -- Join Akiva School and Skwalking Heads Production, in creating a multi-disciplinary presentation for a Yom Hashoah evening event on April 15, 2015, and for a special featured event earlier that day. The collaboration, entitled "The Story of a Violin," will take place March 22-26 at Akiva School. It will be an interactive presentation sharing theatre, storytelling, music and art with our community. "The Story of a Violin" will trace our journey through Eastern Europe from 1900 - 1948. The event is free and open to the public.
Skwalking Heads Productions is a team of artists who specialize in creating community collaborations, theatrical productions, music, dance, art, film and puppetry, mask & mime. Originally founded in Chattanooga, Tennessee and maintaining a home base there, Skwalking Heads now has artistic partnerships around the globe, working in London, Austria, Canada, Sweden, Haiti and more.
Zach Laliberte and Lysandra Petersson will be traveling from Los Angeles, California where they are currently working in the film industry, and Colleen Laliberte will be traveling from Chattanooga, Tennessee, to collaborate with the Akiva School and the Nashville community for this Community Arts project. During the five days of workshops Lysandra will film participants to document their work, and for use in the multimedia presentation of stories on April 15.
