The Slanted Sound are selected to play Artscape 2015
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) June 23, 2015 -- Coming off of an amazing performance in support of their latest CD release “Between a Rock and a Funk Place” at the Rams Head Live - Baltimore, local funk rock group The Slanted Sound have been selected to play at Artscape 2015 on July 19 at 2:30PM on the Sound Off Live! Festival Stage.They were selected as one of the winning bands from a juried competition organized by the Baltimore Office of Promotion and The Arts held at the Metro Gallery.
The Slanted Sound was formed when a group of Maryland musicians and college students from Harford County Community College and Towson University came together around diverse musical influences such as Stevie Wonder, The Allman Brothers and Snarky Puppy. The band members are Keith Tuttle, Walsh Kunkel, Zachary McKinney, Graham Mitchell, Riley Battaglia, Mohammed Gbadamosi, Laura Banner and Jake Fidler.

Also appearing at Artscape 2015 will be headliners George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue on the MICA Main Stage.
