The South Lake Community Futures Development Corporation Takes an Innovative Approach in Training Businesses on New Social Media Techniques
Keswick, Ontario (PRWEB) September 26, 2013 -- The South Lake Community Futures Development Corporation has paired with One Million Acts of Innovation to address these issues and get businesses “in the know.” They have specially designed workshops held in East Gwillimbury, Ontario, Canada that connect social media savvy students with local businesses to improve their online marketing presence.
The workshops goal is to help small and medium sized companies feel comfortable on social media sites while leveraging the youth in the community to become leaders in assisting these companies. An example of a workshop that is coming up in October, is called “ Grow Your Business with Social Media: Are You Gen Y Ready?” This seminar focuses on how 97% of millenials are on social media and how your businesses content may not be engaging to this audience. The social media savvy students share how to be successful at engaging them and why. The goal is to help companies grow by engaging them with new customers and save time by having the social media students guide them.
