The St. Louis Home & Garden Show is Missouri’s Largest Home Product Market Place
St. Louis, Missouri (PRWEB) January 31, 2015 -- One of the largest quality consumer home shows in North America, the Home & Garden Show gives local consumers the opportunity to see, learn about and buy the latest home products and services from more than 400 companies under one roof. The Builders Home & Garden Show is actually six shows in one, showcasing the latest in Lawn & Garden, Kitchen & Bath, Interior Design, Pool & Spa, Building Products and Green Products. More than 1,800 booths fill nearly 400,000 square feet and provide consumers with an excellent buying opportunity, competitive pricing and side-by-side comparison between companies. Visitors can shop for patios, pools, outdoor lighting, decks, windows, doors and everything imaginable for the home. Experts will be on hand to answer questions.
Five beautiful gardens will be filled with fabulous flowers, water features and the newest ideas for yards and gardens. In addition to the feature gardens, there will be patio and landscape displays from dozens of companies. Attendees can learn how to create fabulous outdoor spaces with the latest hardscape products at the Belgard Hardscapes Outdoor Living display. Belgard will be showcasing a brand new line of outdoor elements, the Bordeaux series. Show visitors can register to win a Bordeaux outdoor fireplace worth $5,000 and enjoy music from local artists at the Music Garden.
The Lifestyle Stage will have seminars by local and national experts. Shannon Quimby, HGTV alumni, salvage designer and author, will inspire people to reuse items commonly considered trash. She will demonstrate how to turn junk into beautiful home and garden décor. She will also give a visual tour of the biggest reuse project of her career – infusing 100% of an old dilapidated home into a new home. Show visitors will see how the nation’s first home built without a dumpster resulted in thousands of dollars in savings by reusing and recycling construction materials. There will also be seminars about orchids, with tips and tricks for making them bloom, and a demonstration with information about how to rescue and restore old furniture and home décor.
Across the country there is a tiny home movement, as people downsize and de-clutter their homes and lives. Derek “Deek” Diedricksen, host and designer for HGTV’s Tiny House Builders, will talk about construction and décor with free, found, salvaged and repurposed materials on Friday and Saturday. He and his brother Dustin will also build an 8’x8’ A-frame micro cabin at the Show. Visitors can also tour a getaway from Escape Homes that makes the most of every inch of its 400 square feet with upscale style.
The Home Idea Stage will feature seminars by local experts on a variety of home improvement topics. Valuable information can help take the stress out of a kitchen or bath remodel, with the newest design ideas and hottest trends for these high-traffic rooms. Home Answer Man, Scott Mosby, will talk about accessible design features that benefit everyone in the family. Practical information will also be given about solar energy and the dangers of radon.
Show visitors can learn how to save money, breathe easier and help the environment at the GeoComfort Green Products Pavilion. Information about green building practices will be available from a dozen companies. Consumers can also learn about high performance homes at a display from Oasis Homes. What is a high performance home? It’s a home with great energy efficiency, excellent air quality, and materials and craftsmanship that are sustainable, meaning the home is cheaper to operate, has a healthy environment and will last a long time.
The Home Show is the place to discover the latest home products. The New Product Showcase will feature 16 exciting products brand new to St. Louis. From interior products like countertops, carpeting, beds and in-floor heating to exterior items like siding, stone products, foundation systems and mowers, the latest home innovations will be on display.
The Home & Garden Show is always a fun destination for the whole family. Kids and adults alike will love the Disc-Connected K9's, World Famous Frisbee Dogs! Some of the best Frisbee dogs on the planet will perform incredible stunts and acrobatic tricks. Visitors can get a bird’s-eye view of the Edward Jones Dome with a free ride on the giant Ferris Wheel. Kids can also visit the Children’s Garden Club, brought to the Show by St. Louis County Parks, for free hands-on projects to make at the Show and take home. The Lawn & Garden Marketplace features a large selection of landscaping materials, equipment and supplies. Show visitors don't have to wait until spring to test drive new lawn equipment. The Big Toy Test Drive, sponsored by Wm. Nobbe & Co., gives them the opportunity to try out some of the most popular John Deere lawn and garden equipment with no pressure or hassle.
Show hours are Thursday, February 26 through Saturday, February 28, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, March 1, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission price is $10 for adults, $4 for children ages six to twelve, and free for children five and under.
