The State of Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER)
La Jolla, CA (PRWEB) October 24, 2013 -- WHAT: A roundtable co-hosted by NEHI and the California Healthcare Institute will explore how comparative effectiveness research is evolving in unexpected ways, with a new focus on patient outcomes fueled by the potential, and the challenges, of using Big Data and Real World Evidence to prove what works for whom.
OBJECTIVE: To provide clarity on the impact of future CER on the adoption of valuable health care innovations and to explore how major stakeholders can reach consensus on creating patient-centered research that will send clear signals to innovators throughout the health care system. New research on how current and projected federal CER dollars are being spent will be released.
