The Tech Tour Healthtech Summit announces the Top 20 innovative European entrepreneurs and the winner of the Salus excellence in Healthtech Award

Endosense, one of the 2008 Summit Alumni, will receive the 2014 Salus Excellence in Healthtech Award for its development and commercialization of the TactiCath ablation catheter, an innovative cardiac ablation device for treatment of patients with cardiac arrhythmias.

The 2014 Healthtech Summit will feature the 3rd Salus Excellence in Healthtech Award celebrating the success of companies who have consistently demonstrated excellence in commercialization of a new health technology innovation with potential for global impact in healthcare. The award selection committee has chosen Endosense as the Award Winner for 2014.
Dr. Brian Hashemi, Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Summit, and Managing Partner at Salus Partners will present the award to Endosense at the gala dinner of the Summit on June 23rd at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland. “Endosense was nominated by the Selection Committee from among a strong list of Summit Alumni for the phenomenal dedication of the entrepreneurial team, and their investors, in successfully commercializing a new cardiac ablation innovation which will significantly improve treatment of patients with cardiac arrhythmias.”
Endosense, now part of St Jude Medical, is a Geneva based company founded in 2003. Major venture capital firms participated in the funding of the company during its ten year independent history. During the Series B financing period, Endosense presented at the first edition of the Tech Tour MedTech Summit in 2008. The company was acquired in 2013 by St. Jude for USD330M. The former CEO of Endosense, Eric Le Royer will be present at the networking dinner of the Summit on June 23rd to receive the award on behalf of the company.
