DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (PRWEB) May 11, 2016 -- The Travel Corporation (TTC) is excited to announce the revitalization of Old Town in Kissimmee, Fla. and its new website launch. Nearly three decades after its opening, the iconic shopping complex is being rejuvenated and developed into a major Central Florida destination featuring dozens of unique shops, dining options and family-friendly amusements. To highlight these developments, Old Town has simultaneously developed a compelling new website with a variety of user-friendly enhancements highlighting TTC’s commitment to taking Old Town to a new level, both physically and digitally.
“We envision a new era for Old Town and its fine tenants that will solidify the property as one of central Florida’s ‘must see and must experience’ iconic attractions,” said Brett Tollman, Chief Executive of TTC. "Every day reveals more progress and it’s exciting for us to be a part of the emergence of a new era for Old Town and sharing that with area businesses, locals and tourists.”
True to its history, Old Town’s weekly classic car cruises are a main attraction with lengthy parades of pre-1975 hot rods, street rods, and antiques. Live music, themed restaurants, an arcade and a variety of shopping is available for guests, as well as nightlife options and seasonal events. TTC’s renovation that will total over $10 million includes the return of the Old Town Ferris wheel, a visitor favorite that was removed from the property in 2013, and a reimagined entertainment district stocked with new stores and restaurants, upgraded amenities and enhanced entertainment options including new family-friendly programming.
“All these enhancements and improvements exemplify Old Town’s new tagline ‘Happiness happens here,’ which is also promoted on the website,” noted JLL Regional Marketing Manager Heather Levesque. “We are excited to bring that sentiment to life at Old Town.”
The new interactive website emphasizes visual storytelling and ease of use. The site is extremely mobile-friendly, with Old Town’s primary experiences clearly defined and a heavily emphasized “How to Reach Us – Location, Parking, Hours.” Cheerful colors and family-friendly imagery show Old Town’s impressive transformation into a vibrant shopping and entertainment district reminiscent of both the 1920’s and 1950’s. A “Community” section serves to expand upon the existing community and draw in a wider audience, featuring a blog, Social Section, Selfie Station, TripAdvisor Reviews and a newsletter sign-up to create ongoing engagement with visitors.
An Events Calendar informs guests of Old Town’s upcoming classic car cruises, live music and seasonal activities and is easily searchable with a month-by-month layout. Finally, an online Car Cruise Leaderboard allows car enthusiasts to stay up to date with the classic hot rods, street rods and other antique cars are topping Old Town’s Leaderboard anytime, anywhere.
