The University of Amsterdam and ORTEC Consulting Group Launch Big Data Research Project

The project’s data collection phase will last until the 19th of September. Preliminary results will be published at the end of October. What is Big Data?
Big data is a term used to describe extremely large quantities of data. The data can be of many different kinds: numbers, text, images, and sounds. Analyzing big data requires a multidisciplinary approach and intensive cooperation between people from different fields of expertise (from statistics, computer science, mathematics and linguistics to speech and image recognition).
