Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) July 31, 2015 -- Come August, there will be a new kids “zoo” in town. Shoe Zoo, the popular and award winning zoo themed kids shoe store, formerly in Davidson Commons, is relocating to share space with Fancy Pants in Myers Park Shopping Center.
The new store will be conveniently located on the corner of Queens and Providence, steps away from the newly remodeled Harris Teeter Food Market. Shoe Zoo will share space with Fancy Pants, the well-known Children’s Boutique, publically recognized again this year as “Charlotte’s Best.”
In a joint announcement, Maura Barnes, owner and lead zoo keeper at Shoe Zoo Kids Shoe Store, and Jonni Miller, owner of Fancy Pants, commented the combined 3,000 square foot shared space makes shopping easy for Mom’s. Together we can outfit kids from newborn to teen from head to toe all under one roof. We are working closely together on buying so our stores fully complement each other.
Shoe Zoo features a large selection of name brand shoes from infant to youth boy and girl size 7; all while making the shopping experience with kids a breeze. Ms. Barnes said: “We carry all the top brands for casual, dress, athletic, sandals and boots.” Most popular brands include: Under Armour, Tsukihoshi, Livie & Luca, Native, Sun San, New Balance, Clarks, Kenneth Cole, Keen, Yosi Samra and so many more.
Ms. Barnes went on to say: “The Shoe Zoo theme is a hip, fun experience for kids of all ages. Everyone loves a zoo and we emulate that experience with trees, park benches for fitting and even large stuffed animals at the checkout cage.”

Fancy Pants features children’s clothing and apparel from causal to fancy, newborn to teen. In addition to children’s clothing and apparel from America’s and Europe’s best designers, Fancy Pants features specialty departments including Christening, Communion, Flower Girl, Portrait, Custom Jewelry and Gift and Baby Registries. Ms. Miller also mentioned: “This is one store that has not forgotten about dressing up boys, as the boys department is extensive.”
Shoe Zoo in Myers Park is the second shoe store location for Maura Barnes, with the original Davidson store relocating to Charlotte this August. The Lake Norman area store’s clientele has been built on giving kids the right fit and what they want no matter what their style. Maura is an 8 year resident of Cornelius and lives with her husband Rick and four daughters: Ella, Olivia, Eliza and Isabel.
Jonni Miller is the owner and operator of Fancy Pants, now celebrating its 10th anniversary year at its Myers Park location. She has over 20 years of retail experience. Jonni is a 30 year resident of Charlotte and lives in Myers Park with her husband Ron. They are the parents of two adult children, son Ryan Miller of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and daughter Lindsay Miller of Denver, CO.
Shoe Zoo Kids Shoe Store opens for business mid-August, just in time for outfitting kids for Back to School. The two stores are conveniently located at 1025 Providence Road in the Myers Park Shopping Center, at the intersection of Providence Road and Queens Road.
