TheHopeLine Teams with Licy Be to Inspire, Encourage and Empower Teens and Young Adults
Spring Hill, TN (PRWEB) May 28, 2014 -- TheHopeLine, part of the national ministry, the Dawson McAllister Association (DMA) announced today that it has established a collaboration with the passionate and talented spoken word artist Licy Be. Licy Be, a native of New Zealand, seeks to inspire, encourage and empower teenagers and young adults around the world through well-woven words and rhymes that unlock revelation and truth to her listeners.
“Licy Be is on the same pages as TheHopeLine. She wants to see people released from despair. She seeks to shed light on the lies that young people are unimportant, unheard and irrelevant. To the contrary, she sees teenagers and young adults as tomorrow’s future, a people-group worth investing in and one that needs to be encouraged and challenged to see themselves as they truly are: valuable, loved and capable, the difference makers of tomorrow,” says Dave Anderson, Director of Rescue for DMA.
Licy Be explains, “It wasn’t long ago that I was a teenager. I experienced many things in my adolescent years that should not be experienced by someone at that age, if ever at all. I struggled too with depression. I felt like I didn’t fit. I was asked to leave my school and even attempted to take my own life at seventeen. I decided these experiences would not define me.” Licy Be has gone on to complete her Master’s Degree in Applied Psychology and she now uses her past experiences, coupled with her education and supported by her faith in God to encourage others that are struggling with all types of life issues.
“This collaboration is important to both TheHopeLine and Licy Be,” Anderson continues. “We both have God given niches, those areas God has called us to and equipped us for service.” TheHopeLine is great at finding those that need help, building a relationship of trust and connecting those who are hurting to those who can help. Licy Be, is a motivator, a truth speaker, one who inspires. She is an artist that communicates, “It doesn’t matter what you’ve been through, who you are, where you’re from or what you’ve done. You are valuable and you have a purpose. God loves you, I love you and there are people who believe in you. Now it’s time for you to believe in yourself. And she does it through eloquent, well rhymed spoken words.”
TheHopeLine collaborates with Lice Be by serving those who seek help from Licy Be. She will refer to TheHopeLine those that she is unable to help simply due to volume. In turn, Licy Be provides positive, uplifting and challenging content to TheHopeLine for their audience sharing her perspective on life issues and how she overcame her own struggles. This content is provided in the form of written and video blogs based upon specific issues facing young people today.
