One job seeker’s new connections
Glenn Coyle, a job seeker with a disability from Langhorne, Pa., has a bachelor of arts in communications from Temple University. He currently works with the Villanova University College of Nursing, helping students develop disability awareness and specialized patient communication skills. In his job search for a position in community relations or human resources, Coyle spoke one-on-one with four companies at Think Beyond the Label’s Online Career Fair in October 2013.
“Think Beyond the Label’s online career fair gave me the opportunity to talk to recruiters I would not have been able to speak with otherwise,” says Coyle. “I was able to speak with people who play an active role in making hiring decisions – and to share my work experiences, the kind of position I seek and how I might be a fit for them.”
