Third Annual Virginia Girls’ Summit Registration Now Open
Fairfax, Virginia (PRWEB) September 28, 2016 -- After two sold out years, She Rocks The World will be returning with their third annual “Virginia Girls’ Summit” on November 12, 2016 at George Mason University. A day dedicated to fostering the power of girls’ voices, the Summit is produced for 7th – 12th grade girls and their parents by the organization’s 34 local Ambassadors and Leadership Team.
The Summit will feature prominent young female guest speakers who will share their stories of finding and using their voice in their teen years. These sessions will inspire conversations among the girls and include Q&A opportunities with the speakers. In addition, a parents’ track will also be held with expert speakers geared towards parenting topics and raising millennials.
Current Ambassador Aden B said, “The Virginia Girls’ Summit is an empowering and inspiring event created by teenage girls with the purpose of connecting girls whom share similar experiences with one another and presenting topics valued by teenage girls. Those in attendance will learn the essential attributes of a good leader as well as how to make a great impact in the world!”
This year’s guest list includes:
• Tristian McIntosh – Reality Singing Competition Star
• Debbie Phelps – Motivational Speaker and Mother of Olympian Michael Phelps
• Eliza Rubin - Podcast host of the “Eliza Starting at 16”
• Madison Maxey – Creator of wearable technology and Forbes 2016 30 Under 30
• Zahra Barnes – Digital Lifestyle Editor at SELF Magazine
• Eileen Whelan – Meteorologist and Feature Reporter, WJLA
“This is an exciting year for the organization. After the previous two years, the girls wanted more than a one day event. So we created She Rocks The World to be an online platform for the power of girls’ voices. We are thrilled with the growth and passion and look forward to bringing that energy to this year’s event. With the incredible hard work our Ambassadors and guest speakers put into the day, this will definitely be a summit to remember”, shared Patsy Mangas, She Rocks The World Founder.
The event will take place from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM at George Mason University’s Johnson Center in Fairfax, VA. Tickets are now available at http://www.sherockstheworld.org/summit/registration.
