Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 26, 2016 -- In the wake of international media coverage of Apple’s “Error 53” which bricks iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+, the independent wireless repair community in the US is prepared to assist consumers affected by or whom may be affected by any factory-related issues. The current hot topic concerns aftermarket repair of the home button on the newest model iPhone, which in some isolated cases, the fingerprint sensor is disabled during a repair. Upon users upgrading to iOS9, the software detected the fingerprint sensor disconnected from the board of the phone, causing the device to be inoperable or ‘bricked.’ Apple originally claimed this error to be part of a security measure. However, as of late last week Apple issued an apology and released a software update found on their support page, iOS 9.2.1, which allows iPhones that are bricked by this error to be restored using iTunes. Additionally, reportedly going forward any home button or flex cable repairs performed properly will no longer lead to Error 53 or bricked phones.

It is important to note, most trained technicians have been fully aware of how to avoid Error 53 since last year. This week, thousands of stores and technicians in the wireless repair community applaud Apple for taking a sensible approach to providing a solution.
