Barth X. deRosa was named a Washington D.C. Super Lawyer for Intellectual Property for the fourth year in a row. He focuses his practice in the areas of business technology, copyrights, intellectual property litigation and trademarks. He has successfully prosecuted over 3,000 trademark applications to registration before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, has prosecuted over 345 proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and has provided availability reviews and recommendations for over 8,500 trademarks. Mr. deRosa is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Sub-Committee, the International Trademark Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. He received his B.A. from George Washington University and his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law.
Samuel D. Littlepage was named a Washington D.C. Super Lawyer for Intellectual Property. He focuses his practice in the areas of intellectual property, technology licensing & transfers, and trademarks. He has represented clients in numerous federal court cases involving copyright, unfair competition, dilution, right of publicity, and trade dress (product configuration) infringement and false advertising cases. He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the International Trademark Association, the Bar Association of the District of Columbia, the Virginia State Bar Association, and the U.S. Copyright Society. He received his B.A. and M.A. from West Virginia University and his J.D. from the George Mason School of Law.
Jonathan Redway was named a Washington D.C. Super Lawyer for Intellectual Property Litigation. He is Co-Chair of Dickinson Wright’s Intellectual Property Litigation Team and focuses his practice on patent, trade secret, trademark, and copyright litigation. He has extensive experience in all phases of complex litigation, having tried numerous cases before various trial courts throughout the United States and the International Trade Commission. He is a member of the Intellectual Property Owners Association’s Patent Division – U.S. Post-Grant Patent Office Practice, the International Trademark Association’s Enforcement and Trade Names Committees, and the International Trade Commission Trial Lawyers Association. He frequently writes and presents on intellectual property topics, and serves on the faculty for various intellectual property programs sponsored by the Practicing Law Institute, Advanced Patent Law Institute, as well as other industry organizations. He received his B.A. from Roanoke College and his J.D. from George Washington University.
Melissa A. Alcantara was named a Washington D.C. Super Lawyer “Rising Star” for Intellectual Property. She focuses her practice on intellectual property, intellectual property & trade secrets litigation, trademarks, and commercial & business litigation. She has experience in complex federal and state court litigation, from discovery, motion practice and other pre- and post-trial work to arbitration, trial and appellate motion practice and briefing.
