Keynotes
Jill Dyché, CBIP, Vice President of SAS Best Practices, SAS
Jill is an acknowledged speaker, author, and blogger on the topic of aligning IT with business solutions. As the vice president of SAS Best Practices, she speaks, writes, and blogs about the business value of analytics and information.
Keynote Topic: How Analytics Drives Innovation—and Vice Versa!
In this session you will discover what going digital is like for mainstream companies who need to run their operations as they innovate. Dyché will explore the collision between leadership, information, and digital. She’ll discuss the roles analytics and data play in innovation, as well as present the do’s and don’ts of forming an innovation lab. This dynamic and fun session can be used as a playbook and a set of lessons learned on what it takes to become a truly innovation-driven enterprise in the real world.
Russell Glass, Head of Products, LinkedIn Marketing Solutions
Russell was formerly the founder, president, and CEO of Bizo, a B2B audience marketing and data platform. He led Bizo from its founding in 2008 to a $50 million+ revenue run rate with over 150 employees before being acquired by LinkedIn for $175 million in August 2014. He is the co-author of The Big Data-Driven Business, a book about how companies can use big data to drive results.
Keynote Topic: The Relevance Imperative
Marketing has undergone a massive transformation in the last decade. It will only continue to evolve at an accelerated pace over the next five years as more innovative technologies emerge. Equipped with ever more sophisticated tools, marketers are uniquely poised to use data to impact business and drive revenue like never before. In his keynote address, Glass will talk about the challenges and opportunities posed by an increasingly complex buyer’s journey and share valuable insights on how to not only keep pace, but also forge confidently ahead.
Deanne Larson, President, Larson & Associates
Dr. Deanne Larson is an active practitioner and academic with over 20 years of experience focusing on business intelligence and data warehousing. She completed her doctorate in information technology leadership; her dissertation research focused on a grounded theory qualitative study on establishing enterprise data strategy. Deanne holds project management professional (PMP) and certified business intelligence professional (CBIP) certifications.
Keynote Topic: Doing Data Science Right: You Can't Find the Treasure without the Map
Data science is evolving from magic that other organizations perform to something we’re developing as a core competency internally. Solutions have no value if they do not address the problem and data science is no different. Data science starts with the skill of determining the problem or question, which drives the analytics that follow. Much of the focus of data science has been on the treasure at the end of the hunt rather than ensuring you have the right map. In this session, Larson addresses the importance of clear problem definition to ensure value from the data science process.
