Three Teachers at Malibu High School Diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer in Six Months
Beverly Hills, CA (PRWEB) December 17, 2013 -- A recent news story from CNN revealed some alarming accusations coming from teachers at Malibu High School in California. A group of over 20 teachers from Malibu High sent a letter to the school district claiming that the physical environment of the school is making them sick and they want something done about it. Teachers complained of various ailments such as migraines and rashes, but the most serious complaints were from three teachers who say they were all diagnosed with thyroid cancer in the last six months. While it may seem strange that these three teachers would all get the same cancer diagnosis around the same time, unfortunately, thyroid cancer is becoming more common.
“Instances of thyroid cancer have been increasing for decades and are currently increasing by 4% per year. The good news is that the earlier thyroid cancer is diagnosed, the easier it is to cure,” says Dr. Larian.
