Three Thieves Wines Announces National Launch of a New Red Blend
Saint Helena, California (PRWEB) May 11, 2016 -- Three Thieves wines today announced the national launch of a new Red Blend, adding a fifth varietal to the portfolio that already includes Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Red Blends are the #1 category in the Super Premium ($7-9.99) segment. This category continues to grow at 13.6% and is propagating faster than any other product in the top 15, according to the Nielsen database.* Following the wine’s national launch and distribution this April, the Three Thieves Red Blend has also continued to grow on and off premise. This wine is a bold, predominately Zinfandel-based (37%) red blend sourced from a variety of California’s best vineyards, consisting of three additional varietals, Merlot (32%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Syrah (11%) and offered at a suggested retail price of $7.99. The Three Thieves Red Blend is lavish and rich, infused with French and American oak enhancing the berry flavors with silk ribbons of toasty, sweet oak notes that linger to a smooth finish.
Founded in 2001, Joel Gott, Roger Scommegna and Charles Bieler represent the Three Thieves. Fifteen years later, the trio is now considered “Liberators of Fine Wine,” providing consumers with quality varietal wines at reasonable prices. Their first release, a Zinfandel in a retro glass jug was so successful that a Cabernet and Chardonnay soon followed. The Three Thieves have also introduced Bandit wines, packaged in eco-friendly, reusable Tetra Paks as well as The Show, using grapes from prime growing regions around the world.
