Three-Volume Maryland Criminal Procedure by Professor Byron Warnken Released to Rave Reviews
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) October 22, 2013 -- After more than thirty years of work, Professor Byron L. Warnken of the University of Baltimore School of Law has published Maryland Criminal Procedure. The three-volume treatise totals nearly 2000 pages and boasts more than 10,000 case, statute, or rule cites. The work is organized into 34 different chapters with such titles as "Arrest & Stop and Frisk," "Fourth Amendment Remedies," "Double Jeopardy," and "Victims' Rights."
Dean Ronald Weich and The University of Baltimore School hosted a private event at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Baltimore last Wednesday night. The University is also hosting a larger book signing Tuesday October 22nd at 6:30pm. More than 500 people are expected to be in attendance.
Dean Weich called the work Warnken's "Magnum Opus." Professor Warnken has been a full-time professor on the University of Baltimore's Law Faculty for more than 35 years.
Warnken says of his treatise, "I wanted to make everything in the treatise easy to understand and apply. My goal is to save an hour a week for lawyers and judges intimately involved in Maryland criminal law."
Rave reviews were given by retired judges, law professors, practicing lawyers, and other authors.
