Tickets to U2, One Direction, AC/DC and more on sale this month
London, UK. (PRWEB UK) 17 December 2014 -- Music fans around the world definitely have something to rave about this month. Half of December has gone by and three major bands have already confirmed tour dates and tickets are already on sale: One Direction, U2 and AC/DC. Other major bands and solo-artists are rumoured to announce dates within the next weeks.
On Saturday Dec 5th, One Direction tickets went on sale to audiences worldwide (North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia). UK shows sold out so quickly that the band immediately added eight new dates to their "On the Road Again" tour schedule: Dublin, Belfast, Birmingham, Sheffield, Newcastle, and three more shows in London.
Last Monday, tickets for U2’s upcoming "Innocence + Experience" tour went on sale to fans worldwide. This announcement came most unexpectedly following news of Bono’s bicycle accident in Central Park just one month prior. Tickets have already sold out in the majority of cities that will be hosting the band in 2015 and can only be found on secondary market portals. According to Ander Michelena, CEO and Co-Founder of Ticketbis "Since the announcements of these major tours, we've registered significant increases in the volume of ticket searches done via our after-market platform". Nevertheless, tickets to additional shows in New York, Boston, Montreal, Paris and Berlin have become available on the primary market since Monday, 15 Dec.
And if U2 and One Direction aren’t enough to satisfy music fans, AC/DC have just confirmed dates to their first tour in over 5 years. Considering the recent scandals surrounding the band, hard rock lovers have been caught by surprise. The tour will promote the last album released by the Australian group, Rock or Bust, which critics have called “an authentic tribute to rock music”. Tickets for AC/DC go on sale Wednesday, 17 Dec.
In addition, Taylor Swift recently announced new dates to her 1989 world tour and tickets for these went on sale Friday, Dec 12th. Tickets for latin sensation Alejandro Sanz in Spain also went available Monday, Dec 15.
And it doesn’t end there, the month isn’t over yet and people should expect additional tours to be disclosed and more major music events tickets to go on sale. Lenny Kravitz tickets are said to go on sale next week. Also, rumours of Coldplay are circulating and fans can expect an announcement within the upcoming weeks.
