TIDI Products Hosts Webinar to Review Healthcare Worker Infection-Risk Exposure
Neenah, WI (PRWEB) April 28, 2014 -- TIDI Products, LLC, a leading manufacturer of single-use infection-prevention products for medical and dental markets, will this week host webinar sessions detailing the realities and risks of ocular contamination and infection in healthcare environments. The event sessions feature Victor R. Lange, MSPH, CRC, an infection-prevention expert and author of a new peer-reviewed clinical study report published April 2014 in the American Journal of Infection Control.
Ocular contamination and infection transmission has been proven in clinical studies. With some level of regulatory ambiguity regarding eyewear use, the risk to healthcare worker safety—and, thus, impact on facility infection-control efforts—likely is underrated. Webinar participants can expect to learn about eye-related infection risks, eyewear-use standard shortfalls, and possible reusable eyewear use hazards. Participants will receive clinical recommendations for risk-reduction and best-practice improvement.
Healthcare staff that come into contact with bodily fluids, aerosol droplets, or other potentially contaminated fluids…as well as those who track contact incidents… will benefit from the webinar; these include staff involved in: Infection Prevention and Control, Employee Health and Safety, Operating Room, Emergency Room, Urgent Care, Surgery Center, Labor and Delivery, Burn and Dermatology, Radiology andChemotherapy, Physician and Dental Office, and Purchasing and Distribution.
The webinar, “Naked Eyes = Infection Risk…Reduce the Risk of Infection from Improper Eye Protection,” is free of charge and will be presented on April 29, 2014 at 11am Central (12pm Eastern, 9am Pacific) and on May 2, 2014 at 2pm Central (3pm Eastern, 12p Pacific). Complimentary access registration is at http://go.tidiproducts.com/register-for-eyewear-contamination-level-risks.
