Timmons Group Announces New Associates
Richmond, VA (PRWEB) January 30, 2014 -- Timmons Group is very pleased to announce the following new Associates of the firm.
Lu Gay Lanier has been with Timmons Group for over 10 years and directs our emerging landscape architecture practice. She has assembled a talented team of specialists and created a thriving operation. Lu Gay and her team deliver exceptional projects to their clients, both internal and external. As an environmental scientist and licensed landscape architect with a specialty in comprehensive stormwater management, she has managed award-winning projects from large conservation areas to Federal headquarters and data centers, to corporate headquarters. From site layouts, design and preservation to stormwater harvesting and xeriscaping, Lu Gay integrates economic, environmental, community involvement and social responsibility into each design project.
David Saunders has been with Timmons Group for 4 years is a licensed professional engineer in numerous states as well as a designated Design-Build professional. David is a Senior Project Manager in the utilities practice focusing on major design-build projects. His extensive experience includes the design of water and sewer force mains and gravity sewers, water and wastewater pump stations, storage tanks, and water and wastewater treatment plants. Over the last four years, he has been instrumental in winning and completing numerous municipal and private utilities projects, including several large design-build projects.
Shawn Smith has been with Timmons Group for 17 years. Shawn has helped build and grow the firm’s water and wastewater utilities and residential land development practices. A licensed professional engineer with extensive expertise in the design of sewer and water line extensions, sewer force mains, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, subdivision layout and design, mixed-use development and stormwater management, Shawn currently oversees multiple residential land development projects. One of these is the Magnolia Green project in Chesterfield County, Virginia.
Vince Doherty joined Timmons Group nearly two years ago and is the firm’s first Chief Financial Officer. He is a Certified Public Accountant and received his Bachelor’s and Master of Business Administration from the University of Richmond. With over 19 years of experience working for both Fortune 500 companies and launching a development stage enterprise, Vince’s expertise in accounting, finance and management is an asset to the firm.
