Tiny1 - World’s Smallest Astronomy Camera - Enters ‘InDemand’ After Securing $365,000 Through Crowdfunding
Singapore (PRWEB) July 18, 2016 -- Tiny1, the world’s smallest astronomy camera, has successfully smashed passed its original crowdfunding goal by 360%. It is a high-tech smart camera packed within a small body, which enables anyone to capture the Milky Way, Northern Lights and other night sky objects without any prior experience in astronomy or photography. The camera also makes sharing space images on social media effortless via WiFi tethering.
TinyMOS, a Singapore startup, began developing the Tiny1 two years ago with the aim to make astrophotography accessible to the masses. Throughout the campaign, the Tiny1 has gained support worldwide from US, UK, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and many others. Photographers, travellers, explorers, stargazers and many other communities have expressed their support for the Tiny1 as seen from its remarkable crowdfunding journey.
“We are extremely grateful to our backers and supporters who helped a small startup’s first product reach across the globe,” said Grey Tan, TinyMOS CEO. “The campaign’s success marks a great milestone in making Tiny1 a reality. The worldwide support gives us confidence in our product and the company’s promise to enable exploration of space by individuals.”
The company is slated to deliver the first cameras to backers in December 2016. To give their supporters a first-hand experience of the camera’s interface, TinyMOS has their app demo up on Google Play Store. The demo app is built from the Tiny1 camera’s interface. Android device users can have a look at what this smart camera has to offer firsthand, ahead of delivery.
The Tiny1 is still available for pre-orders on Indiegogo through the InDemand service. Current pre-orders for the camera is going at $449 and is expected to retail at $699 next year.
