TM&S, LLC Announces Representation of ecoMIM
Minneapolis, Minnesota (PRWEB) October 22, 2013 -- TM&S, LLC is now representing ecoMIM, a Metal Injection Molding (MIM) specialist based in Retsag, Hungary. The deal was announced by TMS President Derek Rasmussen today.
ecoMIM’s process improvements have enabled it to offer a highly efficient, accurate, and inexpensive way to manufacture parts ranging from .1 gram to 30 grams. As an alternative to technologies requiring multiple secondary processing steps, ecoMIM is able to reduce shrinkage during the manufacturing process, resulting in production parts that have demonstrated critical dimension tolerances of better than +/- 10 microns.
ecoMIM is able to supply low-cost and highly accurate components for a wide variety of products, from orthodontic braces to turbocharger vanes. In addition, ecoMIM uses 100% biodegradable materials in the production process, rather than solvents, thereby avoiding typical environmental waste issues and complying with the European Union’s RoHS Directive.
“We are very happy to add ecoMIM to our roster of powder metal suppliers,” says Rasmussen. “Its unique ability to manufacture round parts that are round, straight edges that are straight, and corners that are right and accurate, all at low cost, fills an important niche. Its capabilities are a wonderful addition to the range of powder metal technologies we offer our clients to meet their specific manufacturing needs.”
TM&S, LLC is a trusted resource for custom component designers and manufacturers. It exclusively represents four companies specializing in niche powder metal technologies: ecoMIM of Retsag, Hungary (Metal Injection Molding); element22 of Kiel, Germany (Titanium MIM); FMS Corporation of Minneapolis, Minnesota (Press and Sinter and Micro MIM); and Liquidmetal Technologies of Rancho Santa Margarita, California. Their complementary capabilities allow TM&S to provide the best solution for any component suited to powder metal technology, whether round parts, complex geometric profiles, micro parts with high tolerances, or low-cost Titanium parts.
