Toll Brothers National Team Raises Funds for Movember
Horsham, PA (PRWEB) January 21, 2014 -- Toll Brothers, the nation’s leading builder of luxury homes, proudly announces its continued participation in the Movember fundraiser for the third year. Movember is an organization that raises funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.
Movember “is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on men’s faces, in the U.S. and around the world,” according to its mission statement. Held during the month of November, Movember participants start off the month clean shaven, and for the rest of the month they grow elaborate mustaches that they groom, trim, and wax. The men – known as Mo Bros – become walking, talking advertisements for this important cause as they raise funds for sponsorship. They are, in turn, supported by the women in their lives – known as Mo Sistas, as well as other employees in the Company.
The funds raised by Movember in the United States support prostate cancer and testicular cancer, and are directed to programs run by Movember and its men’s health partners, the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG Foundation. Together, the three channels work together to ensure that Movember funds are supporting a broad range of innovative, world-class programs in line with the organization’s goals in the areas of awareness and education, survivorship and research.
Team Toll MoBros had 77 participants from the Corporate Office in Horsham, Pennsylvania; Connecticut; Florida; Maryland; New Jersey; Texas; and, Virginia, raising $40,708.
