Tom’s Insurance is Supporting the Dumb Friends League Rescue Shelter in Campaign to Help Homeless Pets Get the Care They Need and Find Their Forever Homes
Parker, CO (PRWEB) August 21, 2017 -- Tom’s Insurance & Financial Services, a regional provider of asset protection and financial planning services headquartered in central Colorado, is announcing a new campaign to raise funds and support the efforts of the Dumb Friends League in ending pet homelessness and animal suffering.
The Dumb Friends League was founded in 1910, it was named after a London, England, animal welfare group called “Our Dumb Friends League.” In those days, the term “dumb” was widely used to refer to animals because they lacked the power of human speech. Today, the Dumb Friends League, headquartered in Denver, is the largest community-based animal welfare organization in the Rocky Mountain region—providing a strong, compassionate and steadfast voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. The League offers adoptions, foster care, behavior help, investigations of animal neglect and cruelty, low cost spay/neuter services and humane education.
“Dumb Friends League has become a voice for homeless and neglected animals. With a focus on re-homing and educating the public, we believe the Dumb Friends League can make a difference,” states Tom Wohrley, executive director and founder of Tom’s Insurance & Financial Services.
Part of the community outreach program initiated by Tom’s Insurance & Financial includes a broad social media and email information sharing campaign to galvanize support for the Dumb Friends League among central Colorado residents. Further efforts to publicize the charity drive will include a full length article featuring the event in a forthcoming edition of “Our Hometown,” a monthly online magazine produced by the Tom’s Insurance team: http://tomsinsurance.com/magazines/.
Several other notable charity groups and causes operating in the greater Denver area have received direct assistance from Tom’s Insurance & Financial since the firm became a regional representative of the “Agents of Change” network late last year. From here forward, Wohrley and his team plan to work with new local charities on a quarterly basis.
