Topéca Coffee Opens Bakery on Cherry Street
Tulsa, Oklahoma (PRWEB) January 21, 2014 -- “Kitchen tables are special places,” the Heirloom website reads. These tables could refer to one of the small wooden farm tables set beneath high wood beamed ceilings, a cozy setting tucked away just north of bustling 15th Street on Quaker Avenue. Or they may be referring to your own kitchen table, with ready to take home loaves of bread and desserts, as well as catering service for parties and events.
Heirloom’s breakfast and lunch menus highlight the artisan bread baked in their ovens. Soft jalapeño cheddar challah with a chorizo, pepper, and potato frittata makes their breakfast sandwich irresistible. Pair the ciabatta with roasted pork and pesto or pear and brie, or a thick slice of focaccia served with a bowl of soup for a satisfying lunch.
“Family is what Topéca has always been about,” owner Margarita Gaberino explains, “The coffee side of the company began with my family’s farms in El Salvador. But we are a family here too, the employees, our customers. Heirloom is the kind of bakery that reminds you how good it is to sit down and enjoy food with someone, to feel like family.”
That sense of family tradition is evidenced in the hearty, rustic cooking from Chef Tim Fitzgerald’s kitchen. Fitzgerald brings over 40 years of professional cooking experience to Heirloom, a rich history customers can taste in each bite.
Heirloom becomes the fourth member of the Topéca family, which also includes Hodges Bend coffee and cocktail bar, and the Topéca Cafes at the Mayo and Hyatt hotels. Heirloom Baking Co. is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and weekends from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
