Top Hackers Meet to Compete at a Midwest Cyber Defense Competition
Palos Hills, IL (PRWEB) February 19, 2015 -- Eighty of the next generation top cybersecurity specialists will be meeting to compete at the Midwest Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (MWCCDC) next month at Moraine Valley Community College, Palos Hills, IL and sponsors will be there to hire the top talent!
The need for businesses to have a more robust cybersecurity effort is no secret as the constant cyberattacks sweep the nation. The reality is that businesses don’t want to be the next Anthem Inc., Sony Pictures Entertainment or international banking heist. Being proactive to avoid data breaches exposing employee/customer data, damaging emails and losing billions of dollars is driving companies recruitment efforts full force. Sponsors from all across the U.S. are gathering at Moraine Valley to recruit from this elite group of cybersecurity geniuses.

On March 27th and 28th, the MWCCDC will simulate real world cybersecurity experiences. Participants must maintain servers and work stations, manage data and perform day-to-day administrative tasks for a business infrastructure while fighting off attacks from professional “hackers.” All teams are scored based on their performance and the top winning team will head to National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition on April 24th – 26th in San Antonio, TX.

Cybersecurity jobs are some of the most secure and fastest growing in Information Technology. During the competition, there is a career fair/speed-networking event and opportunity to hold one-on-one interviews. Representatives from businesses across the nation are invited to observe, interview and offer jobs on-site. All competitors have their resumes ready and are prepared to interview.
